Micro-Mechanical Testing (Tensile, bending, compression on 1cm scale samples)

Description:
The Micro-Mechanical Testing machine is a system used for mechanical characterization of micron-sized samples (for example, microfibers). Using a load cell with high sensibility, this system can perform tensile and compression tests. Dynamic testing is also possible. From the stress-strain curve obtained it is possible to determine the parameters that are used for quantification of the mechanical properties of the sample material.
