CENIMAT|i3N had the privilege of hosting a delegation from some of France's most prestigious universities and research institutions, in a visit organized by the Institut Français of Portugal.

The event began at the Leopoldo Guimarães Amphitheatre with a warm welcome from Professor Pedro Barquinha, MEON Group Leader.

 

We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming MEON Seminar titled: "Exploring Graphene, Thin Films, and Plasma Process: Research and Applications at UFTM". This session will feature Professor Rogério Gelamo, Professor (Associated - Institute of Technological and Exact Sciences) at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM - Brazil).

 

Pedro Barquinha, researcher at CENIMAT|i3N and Professor at NOVA FCT, has been appointed to the National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CNCTI), a government advisory body on science, technology and innovation topics.

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Maria Helena Godinho, researcher at CENIMAT|i3N has been awarded a prestigious ERC Synergy Grant of 2.3 million euros to study Liquid Crystalline Elastomers (LCEs) of natural origin! 

This remarkable achievement is the first ERC Synergy Grant awarded to NOVA FCT and marks the 12th ERC Grant secured by our dedicated team at CENIMAT|i3N.

This week, CENIMAT|i3N brought Nanotechnology to life for 10th-grade students at the Portuguese School of Cape Verde through a virtual seminar via Zoom.

Over two days, Dr. Henrique Vazão de Almeida introduced the students to the fascinating field of Nanotechnology and highlighted the courses available at the Department of Materials Science of NOVA FCT.

Na passada sexta-feira, dia 20 de setembro, o CENIMAT|i3N recebeu a visita de uma delegação da China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), uma das maiores organizações científicas do mundo, com o objetivo de promover o intercâmbio de conhecimentos e reforçar a cooperação entre instituições científicas de ambos os países.
