Professor Manuel Mendes was recently featured on Antena 2 Ciência to share insights about the X-STREAM project

 

This ambitious initiative, funded by a €2 million ERC Consolidator Grant, aims to revolutionize solar energy harvesting. By improving solar cells with advanced light management, the project could have a major impact on how we produce and use clean energy.

 

As Professor Manuel Mendes explained: «This project shows that we can theoretically achieve much higher efficiencies with the new solar cells we are developing.»
