O Conselho Europeu de Investigação (European Research Council – ERC) distinguiu novamente a Professora Elvira Fortunato, com 1 "ERC Proof of Concept Grant".
A ERC atribuiu um total de 166 bolsas "Proof of Concept" (prova de conceito) – cada uma no valor de 150 mil euros – a investigadores europeus. Quatros dessas bolsas vieram para Portugal – e metade para projetos que nasceram na FCT NOVA.

The ID team of Advanced Functional Materials for Micro and Nanotechnologies from CENIMAT|i3N and CEMOP at FCT-UNL is organizing the first edition of an Art-Science Competition open to all university members interested in competing either individually or as a team. The main purpose of the competition is to find scientists and engineers (future and current) with a hidden talent for illustration and passionate about scientific communication. If you love doing art projects, we challenge you to “translate” the scientific abstract of one of our current research projects into an eye-catching illustration. The best figure will be awarded 300€ and will have the chance to be featured on the cover of a high IF scientific journal.

In the frame of SYNERGY project (H2020-WIDESPREAD-2020-5, GA. 952169), several opportunities for secondments are being promoted in four renowned European Research Institutes (Fraunhofer-Institut für Keramische Technologien und Systeme IKTS, POLITO - Politecnico di Torino, Tyndall National Institute - University College Cork, and VTT-Technical Research Centre of Finland). The following themes are directed to Master Students, PhD Students and post-doc in Materials Sciences and Engineering, Micro- and Nanotechnologies, Energy Systems and Green Energy Power Control by the PT cluster.

O grande vencedor da 14ª Edição do Prémio de Investigação Colaborativa Santander/NOVA 2021 é o projeto “Pensos Inteligentes de Grafeno para a Monitorização da Úlcera do Pé Diabético”. A equipa multidisciplinar responsável envolve duas unidades orgânicas da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, sendo constituída pelo investigador João Coelho, do CENIMAT/I3N, da NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA, em colaboração com a investigadora Inês Coelho, do CEDOC, da NOVA Medical School – Faculdade de Ciências Médicas.
