SHORT CV
Hugo Viana completed his master’s degree in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering at FCT-NOVA in January 2022. The thesis was entitled “Implementation of Active Inductors with Oxide Thin-Film Transistors and Integration into Oscillator Circuits”. He completed an internship at CEMOP in “Electronics with and of paper” in 2019. He was a research fellow at CTS-Uninova under the IDS-Paper Project (PTDC/CTM-PAM/4241/2020), from May 2022 to December 2023.
Hugo has been enrolled in the Electrical and Computer Engineering PhD program at FCT-NOVA, since January 2024. His expertise area is in electronics. His thesis focuses on designing high-precision analog-to-digital converters using deep-nanoscale CMOS and oxide TFT technology at CTS-Uninova and Cenimat-i3N, under the supervision of Prof. João Goes and Prof. Pedro Barquinha.
The main scientific interests are electronics and microelectronics, including the design of data converters and DC-DC converters.
