Roque Soares received his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (2012, FCT/UNL).
He is now a PhD student from FCT/UNL and he is working on development of a novel glass-ceramics for dental restorations under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Regina Monteiro.
He was a fellowship researcher in REDPG project (Rare-earth Doped Phosphate Glasses-SENSGLASS) (2013, FCT/UNL).
Main scientific interests:
Ceramic biomaterials. Ceramics and glass-ceramics for dental applications. Sintering and crystallization of glasses. Crystallization kinetics.
