BSc. and MSc. in Materials Science (Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland, 2007, thesis: Nanostructural semiconducting photocatalysts for medical applications); traineeship: Processing and Characterization of New Materials (New Materials Laboratory, University of Vigo, Spain, 2006); currently PhD student at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (from 2008) under supervision of Prof. Rodrigo Martins, Prof. Hugo Águas and Prof. Pedro Baptista, focused on the development on microfluidic device for colorimetric DNA detection based in DNA-functionalized gold nanoparticles.
