Alexandra received her degree in Technological Physics Engineering in 2003 and her Ph.D degree in Materials Engineering in 2009 from IST/UTL entitled “Development of an integrated platform for fluorescence detection of biomolecules”.

Currently she is a Post-Doc fellow from FCT/MEC.

Her main interests are development and optimization of Solar Cells using the Plasmonic Scattering effect.
