IUMRS Global Leadership and Service Award 2016

Professor Rodrigo Martins na Cerimónia de atribuição do Segundo Prémio de Serviço Global Liderança da IUMRS em 2016

Em colaboração com o Painel STOA (Science and Technology Options Assessment) Panel e os Eurodeputados Paul Rübig (PPE- Grupo Parlamentar do Partido Popular Europeu (Democratas-Cristãos), Carlos Zorrinho (S & D – Grupo Parlamentar da Aliança Progressista dos Socialistas e Democratas no Parlamento Europeu), José Inácio Faria (ALDE - Grupo Parlamentar da Aliança dos Democratas e Liberais pela Europa), Carlos Coelho (PPE) e Marisa Matias (GUE - Grupo Parlamentar dos Verdes/Aliança Livre Europeia), a IUMRS (União Internacional das Sociedades de Investigação em Materiais) anunciou o Segundo Prémio de Serviço Global Liderança destinado a homenagear indivíduos que se distinguiram na área da investigação em materiais, na educação e na política.

Em 2016, este Prémio homenageia personalidades destacadas pela sua distinta liderança e serviço à comunidade internacional no campo dos Materiais Avançados para Energia e Transporte, alinhando com a internacionalização da ciência e a convergência de campos em pesquisa e educação.

O Professor Rodrigo Martins, Chair do IUMRS Awards Committee, fechou a cerimónia de atribuição deste Segundo Prémio, numa cerimónia organizada pela IUMRS, no passado dia 17 de Novembro que teve lugar no Parlamento Europeu em Bruxelas e que contou com o apoio dos principais Grupos Parlamentares presentes no Parlamento Europeu.

In cooperation with the STOA Panel, and the MEPs Paul Rübig (EPP), Carlos Zorrinho (S&D), José Inácio Faria (ALDE), Carlos Coelho (EPP) and Marisa Matias (GUE), the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) announces the Second Global Leadership and Service Award that honours individuals in materials research, education and policy to take place at the European Parliament on November 17th. For 2016, the Award honours outstanding personalities for their distinguished leadership and service to the international community in the feld of Advanced Materials for Energy and Transportation, in alignment with the internationalization of science and the convergence of felds in research and education.
