Sónia Pereira received her degree in Materials Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2003. She had her post-graduation in Industrial Engineering in 2007. In 2014 she concluded her master degree that focused on the properties of Nickel Oxide thin films obtained by e-beam evaporation to work as an ion storage in an electrochromic device. Her research is in the field of chromogenic materials, mainly on the study of electrochromic materials produced by physical techniques such as RF sputtering, e-beam evaporation or thermal evaporation and to be applied in different types of devices (electrochromic windows, ECTFTs). Main scientific interests: Electrochromic materials and devices, ECTFTs, smart windows.
