-Academic Profile

Marcileia received her doctor degree in Industrial Chemistry from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM, Brazil) in 2012. In 2017 concluded her PhD in Chemistry at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, Brazil), under the supervision of Prof. Jairton Dupont and co-supervision of Prof. Francisco P. dos Santos with thesis related to physical chemical proprieties of hydrated ionic liquids and its use as catalyst to deuteration reaction and CO2 sorption. 

In 2014 period of PhD exchange program (Marie Curie actions program) at POLYMAT (Spain) and ITBQ (UNL, Portugal) in a project related to preparation of polyionic liquid membranes for gas permeability. Between 2017 and 2018 she works as Postdoctoral Research in Material Science and Chemistry at UFRGS (2017-2018) and also work as temporary assistant professor in the same University.  

 

-Main scientific interests: 

Green and/or environmental chemistry and energy, correlating themes as chemistry of CO2, catalysis, material preparations and NMR studies.
