Description

Tiago was born in Celorico de Basto, Portugal, in 1990. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT-NOVA) in 2015.

During his academic journey he had the opportunity to develop the master thesis "Field-Effect Transistors Based on Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles" at CENIMAT|i3N, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luís Pereira. After that, he worked as a research fellow on the ERC New-Fun project, also under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luís Pereira, focusing on the development of cellulose nanocomposites for paper electronics.

Currently, Tiago is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Professor Luis Pereira and Professor Rodrigo Martins, with the thesis entitled "Sustainable functionalized fiber-based structures for application in electronic and electrochemical systems".

Main scientific interests: - electronic textiles, energy storage based on fibers, synthesis of oxide nanostructures, cellulose-based nanocomposites.
