Description

Beatriz Jorge Coelho is a Master in Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering by NOVA School of Science and Technology. Right after finishing her master’s degree, she enrolled in the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Doctoral Program of the same institution, where she currently works on digital and continuous-flow microfluidic platforms for cancer biomarker detection through DNA amplification and further studies several methodologies for monitoring the amplification reaction, such as electrochemistry, fluorescence or impedimetric measurements (PhD scholarship awarded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia - SFRH/BD/132904/2017). She is experienced in several clean room processes, namely photolithography and thin film deposition technologies, as well as molecular biology protocols, namely in the field of nucleic acid amplification.
