EuroNanoForum 2015

The EuroNanoForum 2015 is a meeting point for industry, science and policy. Strengthening European competitiveness and supporting its re-industrialisation, it showcases innovation as driver for economic growth, presents new technologies arising from nanotechnologies and advanced materials, and discusses the new applications and commercialisation potential for these technologies. The conference programme includes plenaries, sessions, and workshops with over 150 international high-level speakers, widely covering the areas of nanotechnologies and advanced materials. During its three days, the EuroNanoForum 2015 offers numerous opportunities to hear the latest news from the nanotechnologies and advanced materials community, see cutting-edge technologies, and network with innovative start-ups, established corporations, international research organisations, as well as important stakeholders of various European technology clusters, organisations and platforms.

One of the workshops will be the Value4Nano/NANOfutures workshop. Value4Nano aims at developing an implementation roadmap of 4 value chains and their target products. The workshop will act as the final meeting of the project, which will close in August 2015. The final roadmap will be presented and discussed during this meeting. The event is titled "Nanotechnology and materials in action: Pilot lines and industrial alliances to reach the market" and will be held on June 12th 2015 from 10:30 to 14:00.

Session 9 - "Smart structures and intelligent materials" will be chaired by Communication working group chair Andrea Reinhardt. The session will show some of the latest examples where smart structures and intelligent materials have been applied. It will take place on June 10th from 16:00 to 17:30.

Paula Queipo, chair of the Networking working group, will chair Session 11 - "Nano networks and clusters in Europe – smart specialisation in action". In this session, some of the nano related networks and clusters present their actions and best successes. It will take place on June 10th from 11:30 to 13:00.
